Recently this summer, Knights of the Future hosted a chess tournament for all age groups. This tournament had kids ranging from 4 all the way to 15 years old! Overall, the tournament was a great success with lots of kids getting trophies and all kids having fun!

This summer, our organization proudly hosted a local chess tournament that brought together young players, families, and chess enthusiasts from across the community. Held in a lively and welcoming space, the event was a celebration of critical thinking, healthy competition, and the shared love of the game.
From the moment players arrived, the room was filled with energy and focus. The tournament welcomed participants of all skill levels—from first-time competitors to seasoned young strategists. With boards set, clocks ticking, and pieces in motion, each match showcased the dedication and creativity of these rising players.
The tournament followed a round-robin format, ensuring that every participant had the opportunity to play multiple games and test their skills against a variety of opponents. Volunteers and instructors were on hand to guide, answer questions, and cheer on the players, while parents and guests watched proudly from the sidelines.
We’re incredibly proud of every student who participated. Events like these remind us why we love chess: it builds community, teaches resilience, and gives kids a chance to shine. We’re already looking forward to the next one—see you at the board!
